All MAP sensors, complete with a mating connector, are now at sale prices!

We have now reopened our online shop but are still only in the workshop a few days a week. This means shipping could be delayed for up to 3 or 4 working days from receipt of order.

Due to the covid-19 pandemic our workshop is officially closed and we have disabled the web shop checkout.

V2.20 software now takes advantage of the latest Syvecs S6 firmware that allows full GPS information to be sent, alongside the existing “slave protocol”.

This allows the MEU to not only provide its 4 additional inputs, plus the EGT/Bosch lambda/barometric pressure data, and an H-bridge driver output, but also all the GPS data – latitude/longitude/course/speed/satellite info etc. And all at a 50Hz update rate.

The GPS protocol used also includes all motion sensor data (lateral/longitudinal/vertical G and yaw/pitch/roll).

The MEU also has GPS beacon functionality that sends a “blip” to the ECU when you drive through the configured beacon zone. Useful for lap timing.

The upgrade also, at long last, adds support for “VR” speed sensors (e.g. typical 2-wire ABS sensors) as well as Hall Effect types. No hardware mods needed – just a firmware update.

All in all, this makes for an extremely powerful combination of functionality, in a highly cost-effective package.

Released this week is a new version of the shiftlight firmware and the companion PC program. This adds new templates for BMW E46, Emerald K6, and CANbus-equipped Imprezas allowing the shift light to be directly connected to the OEM CANbus (via OBD-II connector, for example).

To do this, support for “29 bit Extended CAN 2.0B” has been added, as well as the ability to “scale” the received CAN data. This means the unit can now be configured to work with pretty much any OEM CANbus system where the RPM data CAN ID’s are known, or can be found.

All units shipped from now on will have this version of firmware as standard.

Existing units can be upgraded but will need to be returned to the factory for this to be done.
